CSE Artificial Inteligence & Machine Learning

The Department of CSE (AI&ML) offers a 4-year B.Tech programme. This 4-year undergraduate program of Computer Science & Engineering with specialization in AI (Artificial Intelligence) & Machine Learning is designed to make the students technically sound in emerging areas of Artificial Intelligence. The primary aim of the Department of AI&ML is to spearhead the advancement and novel developments in various application areas and promotion of advanced research and education in the field of Artificial Intelligence. The department has very competent faculty to teach specialized courses and elective courses like Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Robotics etc.

Career Prospects : Students of this programme can get promising work opportunities in the areas of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, Big Data & AI Architect, Robotics, and Software Engineering.

B.Tech

Programme Educational Objectives Of B.Tech CSE(AI&ML)

  1. Graduate shall have knowledge in applied and basic engineering sciences to understand engineering principles which is necessary to formulate and solve problems related to Artificial Inteligence.
  2. Graduate shall have knowledge in experimentation, analysis and synthesis of Artificial Inteligence courses to Design/Innovate and create novel products/Solutions to real life problems.
  3. Graduate shall have Managerial and entrepreneur skills, ethical and professional attitude in multidisciplinary approach to meet the needs of industry and society.
  4. Graduate shall go for further studies, research, lifelong learning to adopt oneself in the phase of changing technologies to ensure the students to success in engineering position globally.

Programme Outcomes Of B.Tech CSE(AI&ML)

  1. Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  2. Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  5. Modern Tool Usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and AI tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  6. The Engineer and Society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
  7. Environment and Sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
  8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
