Electronics & Communication Engineering

The Department of Electronics & Communication engineering was started in the year 1998. The college conducts the examinations and the degree is awarded by JNTU Kakinada. University incorporates latest developments in Electronics and Communication systems, VLSI and Embedded systems, networking and allied fields in a dynamic fashion so that the student is exposed to the latest technological advancements during the program.

The Department is being accredited By NBA Committee of AICTE in the year 2009. This was a great achievement in the history of the department. The department is also offering Three PG programmes, M.Tech in Digital Electronics and Communication Systems, Digital Systems and Computer Electronics, and VLSI & Embedded Systems.

Programme Educational Objectives Of B.Tech (ECE)

  1. To acquire knowledge in applied and basic engineering sciences to understand engineering principles which is necessary to formulate and solve problems related to Electronics and Communication Engineering.
  2. To develop knowledge in experimentation, analysis, and synthesis of Electronics and Communication Engineering courses to design/innovate and create novel products/solutions to real life problems.
  3. To inculcate managerial and entrepreneur skills, ethical and professional attitude, and multidisciplinary approach to meet the needs of industry and society.
  4. To recognize the need for further studies, research, ever learning to adopt oneself in the phase of changing technologies, and to ensure the students to succeed in engineering positions globally.

Programme Outcomes Of B.Tech (ECE)

  1. An ability to apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  2. An ability to identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  3. An ability to Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  4. An ability to use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  5. An ability to create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  6. An ability to apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
  7. An ability to understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
